As a former Australian representative athlete, Hennie has always been passionate about sport and exercise, and how an active lifestyle links to greater health and prosperity. Eager to help others achieve a healthy relationship with physical activity, Hennie became a qualified personal trainer in 2018, and Fitter Life was born.

Never wanting to commodify a clients body or pressure them into conforming to an ideal, Hennie’s ethos is on improving clients quality of life, confidence, health, fitness, and ultimately their enjoyment in physical activity.

Fitter Life has 3 key areas which draw upon the ethos and experience of Hennie’s work within the industry;

Running technique sessions, distance coaching and high-performance running strength programming through Fitter Run

Personal training for individuals, couples and groups regardless of age or fitness level through Fitter Life

Pregnancy and post-partum personal training and group classes through Fitter Mums

Hennie’s approach to PT has enabled the privilege of working with some truly amazing clients, including but not limited to;

  • High-level distance athletes

  • Over 300 Pregnant and post-partum women

  • Women in rural and remote Australia via online platforms

  • Stage actors working towards specific roles and performance circumstances

  • Clients wanting to optimise their running performance outcome and limit injuries through Fitter Run technique sessions

Having suffered a broken pelvis in 2019 which required 9 months of recovery, Hennie understands what it is like to have a long and arduous fitness journey ahead of you. Creating a safe and judgement free space, Hennie will meet you where you’re at whilst ensuring you achieve little wins each session, hold space for your emotions, and work with you towards achieving a healthier, Fitter Life.
